Essential information which may affect your decision to book.
Access
Orla’s spectacular views are due to its position on the Greensand Ridge, so while we have made access as easy as possible, and have flattened areas for pitches, it is important for you to be aware that you will be walking up and down hills on grassy fields, so unfortunately, this is not the spot for those with limited mobility. The car park is a few minutes’ walk from the camp site. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you transport your bags to your accommodation.
Biodiversity and Sustainability
Giving back to the land, and promoting biodiversity really is the priority at Orla, and opening this campsite will fund the process. We welcome those who appreciate and respect nature, and are happy to think about their impact on the wildlife around them. We will provide seasonal information on how to do this.
Chemicals
No chemicals have been used on the field, and with this in mind, we will be providing any products needed (shampoo, conditioner, washing up liquid and soap) which have been sourced for their ethical ingredients and which are not harmful to the environment. These may not be as effective as your favourite conditioner/body wash, but we hope you can forgo these during your stay to benefit the greater picture.
