Orla sits beside the Greensand Way, a footpath of greensand rock stretching 111 miles across the stunning countryside of Surrey and Kent.

Buttercup’s Goat Sanctuary is just a 10 minute walk away. This beautiful, grassy oasis gives a lovely home to a medley of friendly goats of all shapes and sizes. For a small donation, one can spend a lovely afternoon in their meeeeervelous company.

Also in easy walking distance is the deer park, along with many pretty walks along the labyrinth of public footpaths weaving through the area.

Within just 5 or 6 miles you can also find the fabulous Mote Park,  Leeds Castle, local craft workshops, and The National Trust’s hidden gem Stoneacre.

There are many great day trips to be had to if you drive a little further. Be sure to take a trip to the cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Canterbury  You could also enjoy a family day out at Dover Castle, explore the Isle of Sheppey,  the medieval citadel of Rye, the market town of Royal Tunbridge Wells  and the historic Hastings.  

Of course, there are also the many beautiful beaches to visit all along the Kent coast, such as Camber Sands, which is less than an hours drive away.
